Karim Rida Saïd Foundation
In 1982 Wafic and Rosemary Saïd founded the Karim Rida Saïd Foundation in memory of their son.
The KRSF is an English charity that works to bring positive and lasting change to the lives of children and young people in the Middle East. It is non-sectarian and non-political.
Through its child development programme, the KRSF supports the development of the most disadvantaged children in its target countries in the fields of disability, education, health and risk reduction. Working with local partners, the Foundation has funded over 200 projects benefiting over 8000 children in 2004/05 alone.
Through its further education programme, the Foundation promotes education, training and development by providing financial and other support to talented young people from the target countries so that they can acquire the skills and knowledge that would otherwise not be available to them. The Foundation has funded scholarships for more than 400 students.
The Foundation’s Arab culture programme provides opportunities for children and young people to improve their understanding of the richness and diversity of Arab culture.
